My name is Josue J. Teran Linarte and I am a PhD student at the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf (Germany). I obtained my bachelor’s degree in “Social Sciences” at the University of Milan. Consequently, I obtained a Master’s degree in “Sociology and Social Research” at the University of Trento (Italy). I also hold a Master’s degree in “Sociology” from the university of Bamberg (Germany).

I am a sociologist with interest in educational inequalities, sociogenomics, gene-environment (G x E) interactions, and heritability of social outcomes. Currently, I am working on a DFG-funded project on the interplay of social contexts and genetic potentials in cognitive and educational development lead by Prof. Christoph Spörlein.

My research also focuses on health, personality studies, the sociology of death, grief and bereavement, cognitive sociology, and quantitative methods.
